Practicing Mindfulness to better tune in to your needs
Studies have found that people spend 47% of their waking hours thinking about something other than what they are doing. This mind wandering takes our attention away from the present and cause us to be less aware of our surroundings as well as the needs of ourselves and others. Through the practice of Mindfulness, we learn to train our attention and awareness to focus on the present moment, being aware of what’s happening right now without judgment or evaluation.
The 1-hour workshop introduces participants to the practice of Mindfulness, empathy, as well as an understanding of our universal needs.
